Here's the next UFO to finish.  I have all the pieces cut for three projects.  Two will be gifted.  I will have something to show you on Sunday Stash Report for sure.  There are lots of small pieces, but they should go together fairly quick.

This is Sunshine Quilt Guild February BOM.  Hallie coordinated it; providing us with the pink centers.  Our donation to the project was four white squares and eight pinks.

Sunshine Quilt Guild meeting is tomorrow.  Jo will be providing the how to on wool applique.  We could either bring our own or make from her offering.  Beware It's Halloween has been waiting its turn and since it is a wool project...I plan to take advantage of Jo's expertise.  Beware It's Halloween is a 12 month installment project.  There are eight candy corn blocks of wool on cotton to be made.

These are tools Kerry and I saw at RD2CA.  Kerry has a friend who can get special pricing so we both purchased from her.  Has anyone tried the Magic Pins?  I know I will like the new size ruler.  The blades will work just fine for my smaller cutting needs.  I haven't used the small cutter in a very long time, but I will have it when the time comes.

The mail also brought Katerskill today (along with the tools).  It is awesome!  I love it!  Katerskill is a UFO too.  I will have it bound and finished for next month's Sunshine Quilt Guild meeting.  I will share it with you on Sunday or Monday next week.

These are the fabrics to start the Grassy Creek Mystery brought to you by Bonnie Hunter.  These are for Part 1 released on Black Friday.  I plan right now to only do half the project.  Honestly I was a bit surprised that she starts us with a larger than usual star! 

Here are the units cut.  There are 14 sets of HSTs ready for sewing.  Anxious to show you the finished Part 1.  There will be more on this as I stitch the pieces together.  This project is one of my 2021 UFOs!  If you want to play along a part is released every Friday until sometime around New Years Day.  The entire mystery can be had on her website at quiltville.com.

I received another installment of the Beware! It's Halloween BOM from Midway Wool.  This installment contains blocks for the Graveyard and Broomstick.  

Midway Wool also sent me a freebie FQ that just happens to be a gray that will be included in the Grassy Creek project for sure.

Sunday Stash Report, November 1, 2020

Karefree finished!  This is my very first Mardi Gras project.  I wanted something small to go on a particular wall in my home.  Karefree will be perfect for that spot =^.^=  This is a Pam Buda design called Prairie Winds and my #12 2020 UFO.  Karefree will go out in the mail tomorrow for Kerry to put some Mardi Gras beads into the quilting design.  I'm thinking a white thread, but we'll see when she shows me some different options.

Midway Wool sent me another BOM installment for the Beware! It's Halloween project.  Not started any of this yet, but it's time will come.

Mom sent me some of her neutral scraps and a couple of other fabric goodies.  She isn't much on the smaller pieces as I am.  I'll have to decide what to do with the charm pack that is all in yellows/whites/blacks.  Something is certainly waiting for it that I have in my collection of patterns.

Glad you decided to look closer at my blog post!  

Of course you don't really want to see the back of what I am about to work on...so here are the fronts.

There is just way too many projects going on in my sewing room.  I am feeling overwhelmed =^.^=  I think I need to take down some of these projects an get back to focusing on just one.  I usually start with one and don't work on another until the current one is finished.  How many projects can you see that are in the middle of work?

Adding to the projects is Beware! It's Halloween September BOM.  This one is The Witches Residence.  I think this one will be the most challenging one in the project.  Besides receiving a BOM each month since March and storing them away absolutely nothing has happened with this project.  This will not become a UFO because it will be one of those long time projects for me.

I was thrilled to receive more of what I will need for Autumn Love and Vintage Christmas projects.  Both of these by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet.  I will be doing the Vintage Christmas BOM that starts in December with Stitch in Heaven.

I was equally happy to receive another BOM from the Beware! It's Halloween! project that has not yet been started.  This month's project are four Witches Hats.  This one is with Midway Wool Company.

I have a few more things coming for Lori Holt projects and the threads that will move me forward with Wooly Nutcracker.

Nothing on my Design Wall except for what was posted yesterday...my skinny nutcracker!  Hope your week ahead is all that you'd like it to have in it =^.^=

Sunday Stash Report, May 31, 2020

Kavort is done.  What a nice Frolic! this project has turned out to be.

Beware! It's Halloween BOM arrived on Friday.  I do need to get started on this project...

With a little color guidance from Mom to be (just two days from today), these colors are to be another project for Greyson.  This is the one promised at the virtual baby shower in March.

This is where I ended up from just a bit over two days of sewing.

Kuddles and Kisses didn't make it to Virginia on Saturday as expected.  Hopefully it is just a day late and will arrive on Monday.  Nothing changes my stats this week.  It does look like there might be a change next week with the completion of this fast moving project Kourage.  I'll also look forward to sharing news of Greyson's arrival that is to be on June 2nd.

Sunday Stash Report, May 3, 2020

Today Blogger has us all with a new format for creating, editing, posting, etc.  It has the same functions as before it appears.  Does look different in its presentation to the user.  I have Unity QA Part 3 complete.  Yes I am a bit behind...

It took me the weekend to finish all the stars that make up Part 3.  I have to sew them together and add the outer sashing that Bonnie Hunter has us adding at the conclusion of each part after the pieced sections.  I started cutting out Part 4.  My  stash is getting weak of medium blues...Mom has some on their way from her stash.  Part 6 goes live tomorrow.  It will be nice to catch up if that is possible.  I think their are eight parts for this quilt along.

Beware! It's Halloween! BOM for May arrived.  Don't tell the folks at Midway Wool Company that I have yet to get started.

Kwenched arrived from Kerry.  Oh my Kerry did such an awesome job with the quilting.  It took quite a bit of back and forth to come up with all the designs she used, but every bit worth it.  I have it all ready to bind.  Nothing changes in the stash count this week.

Design Wall Monday, April 20, 2020

Wish I were working on Kavort or my Unity QA, but alas more masks are being produced in my spare time.

I did cut out and sew together the strips of the inner border of Kavort.  I also sewed the pink/neutral and blue/neutral  HSTs together and pinned them to the Design Wall.  :).  I looked at the instructions for doing more to the Unity QA...does that count?

Sue Spargo's Creative Stitches book arrived.  I will be needing this book to do all the decorative stitches on the Beware! It's Halloween! project when I get it going.  As yet it remains all together in a plastic bag.

During the week the next month of Beware! It's Halloween! blocks arrived.  These are all potion bottles.  Laugh when I say the names.  This project is starting to get ahead of me...OH MY!  Not a single bock started...EEKS!

Since Friday I have been working on masks, like many of us.  I am using Jenny Doan of Missouri Star Quilt Company pattern.  HERE is the tutorial.  (Don't be judging my hair style.  Like you, these weeks of not being able to get to a salon has not been good.)  I have made 28 masks at this point.  Five were in the mail yesterday to parts north in California.  My neighbors are next to receive and then my veterinarian's office if they want some.  I will be giving them a call tomorrow.  I made my own straps from strips which was by far the longest part of the process.  I did try to make them fun and unisex.  The monster fabric is exactly what is needed to chase this dratted virus into history.  Take care everyone =^.^=

Design Wall Monday, March 2, 2020

This BOM project, Beware! It's Halloween!, first units arrived on Saturday.  You may recall it is a project that I joined in January at Road to California Quilt Show.  The words at the bottom of the pattern are descriptive of how I feel about this wool project.

The first units are two of the designs in the top middle block.  The cauldron and the cat with the bats.  I'm loving the fabrics that came in the kit.  Now I need to see if I have the threads required.  I may just end up buying the thread kit.
