Kranberries |
It started with a 9-patch swap and string blocks as you see above. These two units make the center of the block.
Next lots of cutting pieces for the flying geese, sashing pieces, and string borders. Lots and lots of pieces go into the making of this quilt. Then the second two thirds of the sewing. Figure I am about a third of the way finished at this point. My nephew visits for a week in a few days shy of two weeks. My goal is to have this project done before he arrives.
There are more projects to be admired at Patchwork Times today.

Kranberries is going to be beautiful. You are so right, it looks like about a million pieces in it.
It's gorgeous! I was with you right up to the "tons of flying geese" part!
And I know you well enough to know you will meet your goal. I would never be able to get it done that quickly, but I have complete faith in you. : )
I have no doubt you'll meet your goal! It's a beautiful quilt. Quilts with lots of pieces generally provide a lot of interest. Love the red.
This quilt is going to be gorgeous. LOVE all of the reds. Looking forward to seeing the completed top.
Really like all the reds you are using in this quilt top. They really come forward against the cream neutrals. All of Bonnie's quilts have lots of pieces----it is going to be worth it in the end!! It has been fun to watch the progress & am hoping it gets done before your visitor.
I really like the reds, creams etc. This will be another beauty.
