Sunday Stash Report, August 3, 2025

This past Friday was Rosie's Day.  I get together with several sewing sisters in Rosie's Calico Cupboard's workroom.  Several of the sisters have Singer Featherweight machines.  No better place to start my journey with my newly serviced 1953 machine.  It stepped up to the task of paper piecing more 2" finished blocks for my 100 Houses project.  Not the fault by any means of the machine, these little houses take time to assemble.  Each block has 13 pieces.  I was able to get done with six during the time at Rosie's and finished another two at home.

18 completed with too many more to stitch.  That's the fun of projects like this.  All will have blue sky, yellow windows, and a black door.  I have been working from 2 1/2" strips so far.  It takes about 9" of the strip to make the house...surprised?

Kwiescent on my wall with the recent finish of the Milk Can block.  Week 8 is in progress.

I do have a bit of new fabric to add to the Stash Count.  The bottom two are from Rosie's and the rest from Quilt In A Day.

Used this week: 0 yards
Used YTD: 225.5 yards
Purchased this week: 1.75 yards
Purchased YTD: 80 yards
Net used in 2025: 145.5 yards

I will leave you with a photo of Twinkie.  She was our companion for a time at the Carlsbad Animal Shelter while Kennel Komforter's were busy making pet beds.  She came in with her tail tucked under and left with her tail held high.
