The plaids in the center and the right are purchases this week. I'm collecting plaids for the workshop I'll be attending on May 4th at Bits and Pieces. The design is one from Buggy Barns called Crazy 'till the Cows Come Home. Each time I root through my stash I find a little bit of plaids, but I'll need FQs for the workshop and that size isn't on hand. I should have the prints to match the plaids a plenty. The fabric requirements call for seven of each light, medium and dark in FQ size. I doubt that I'll need to find any more plaids between today's purchase at Country Loft and gifts from my Mom...
During the March Cruisin' Quilters Shop Hop this year I happened on this Country Loft project that was about to start. Kerry and I purchased the block patterns and the sashing fabrics which certainly complete the look. We won't be taking the workshop each month and plan to use our stash for the seven months of the BOM project. Perhaps this will be our "extra credit" for 2014... This will be a great way to use up scraps and complete a project that we'll both work on when we have our "sewing days" into the new year. Hey consider it's not so far off as you'd think.
Sew I didn't finish Kilowatts before the report nor did Kalahari get to that point. Today will be a heads down sewing day where one or both might be finished. For now though I've only got purchases to account for...next week look out for a big reduction!
So here is my status for the middle of April. See others stash status through the links at Patchwork Times.

Wow! Impressive use this year! Isn't is funny how having a report each week keeps us motivated to finish things up? The plaid quilt looks like a cute project!
I know you are going to have fun making the "Cows" quilt, we all need a funny now and then. Glad that you got enough plaids.
The Cows quilt is going to be so cute!
At least you have plans for what you bought. Hope your heads down sewing day was sucessful.
