Sunday Stash Report, July 10, 2016
Karen left on Wednesday morning arriving home safely nearly six hours later. The cross country flights are long. She found time on the plane to finish the cute cards she makes...something to while away the minutes. Wednesday was a long day for me too since we were up at 3:30am to be ready for any kind of delay for her early 6:45am flight. I went straight to work and napped in the parking lot nearly an hour. Yes bedtime came early for me that night.
I have fabrics now for my June UFO, Kookoo Katchu. I'm two months behind right now. July's UFO, Kontentment, was announced and my project is done. May's, Kayenne, is just about finished. We will see what progress takes place today.
KooKoo Katchu won't be from my stash except for the background. Another add to my stash. I am still in the black...

Happy Independence Day!
I've been totally involved with my Sister's visit. Oh my gosh...today started off with Old Towne where shopping took place! A very light lunch at Old Towne Mexican Cafe then on the Trolley to the Gas Lamp Quarter. It wasn't as big of a success as Old Towne with Karen since there weren't as many cute shops. After a great dinner at Rockin' Baja Lobster we headed towards the south Embarcadero for the Big Bay Boom fireworks display. Magnificent...
Got loads of help on Kayenne pulling the papers off. I'm ready to get the sashing around these awesome blocks.

I had a chance to get to Rosie's for the fabrics that will be used in June's UFO that I'm calling Kookoo Katchu. I'll be counting these fabrics as an add to my Stash Report on Sunday. I am going to use a Christmas Gift from my Mom of white fabric for the background. There will be more on Kookoo Katchu just as soon as I can get Kayenne that is May's UFO off the Design Wall.
Binding done on Kattastic. You can see all my finished quilts at www.kwiltnkats.com.
Until next time, enjoy your time in your sewing room. Patchwork Times has more projects you can treat yourself to today.

This week started off with an excellent dollarwise purchase. Primitive Gatherings was offering $5 a yard on Pam Budda's Prairie Gathering fabric line. I didn't have my back for Kanton Kull yet...well at that price I do now.

I picked up these three half yard pieces at Beverly's to see how they might work for the melons in Kayenne. Yes, I'm still working on May's UFO :(
During my sister's visit we went up to the Temecula Valley. There are a few quilt shops up there that are a must visit. Primitive Gatherings, Temecula Quilt Company, and A Needle in a Haystack are in the area. I had been to Primitive Gatherings recently with Mom so...Temecula Quilt Company and A Needle in a Haystack were stops on Friday. We met up with Bonnie and away we went.
Once again there is a plus to my stash and nothing to show for it. Oh well, if I don't have fabric...there won't be any sewing to be done right?
