This is the project I have been working on all week. Lovey Dovey was just what I was looking for to participate in the Chopped: Quilting Edition going on this month at Sunshine Quilt Guild. I selected bag #14 that included four fabrics to use in any project of your choice. The inspiration for the dove pattern is one of the four fabrics in that bag. You can see it used in the 9-Patches and several of the hearts. It's the fabric circled. The other three fabrics aren't used quite so much; a solid green heart, the back wing, and the print fabric in the front wing. The project is mostly in pieces that will be sewn together today.
I sewed up this quick BOM for Sunshine Quilt Guild. The yellow fabric is a batik as are all the other kits that were handed out to members. You probably recognize the pattern curated by Kelly called Disappearing 9-Patch. I've seen a few members' blocks completed; this project will make into a beauty.
Here is my damage...but just to get projects finished...well mostly =^.^= From the top, I auditioned the first two for the Lovey Dovey project and settled on the gray/green dot for the sashing. The gray will see another project some day along with the bottom white/multi dot. The purple dot went for the back of the Flutter 2 project. I looked at the "pink" fabric possibilities and felt the purple looked best. Gosh I seem to go for dots...what do you think? I have a used as well in Flutter 2.
