This is the project (The Living Rose) I'm working to finish that was nearly completed by my Grandmother.  What's in the hoop are the last of the embroidery and the very last portion of the quilt before it is machine stitched all together.  There are two sides that come together and some additional flower/vine/leaves over the seam of the two sides.  As I have said in earlier posts, the fabric and thread was all with the project.  It will take more time, but all is available to complete.  I have been thinking about hand quilting the project...we shall see :)

I took a workshop with Barbara Blanton last Thursday (Nancy and Me).  We purchased the Nancy and Me kit so we could learn her needle turn technique.  I did take away a few techniques that will be used and inforced as I move through this project.  The first photo is my progress, the flower isn't sewn in place yet.  The second photo is the design.  This project will keep me busy for many, many evenings to come =^.^=

I will be in the sewing room soon to finish Flutter 2.  Enjoy your week.
