Kidd
28" x 28"
Sunday instead of machine sewing...I stitched the binding around each of these projects.  All of them are 2015 UFOs.  I still have the sleeves and labels to put on.
Kristmas Keepsakes
19" x 19"
Krossways
31" x 58"
This weekend I was twice the quilty winner.  My first surprise came on Friday.  I won a quilt!  During my last visit to my parents in Maryland a stop to visit a patient at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital found me in their gift shop.  A quilt was being raffled to support the hospice efforts in the area.  When I can I support fundraisers especially when the prize is a quilt.
This is the quilt I won and a close-up of the detail.  It is all pieced except perhaps the detail around the oval sections and the binding.  The quilt is in Maryland at my parents waiting for what's next.
The second win was for participation in the 2015 UFO Parade that is hosted by Aunt Marti of 52Quilts.com.  If you haven't seen October's Parade you should take a look at the sewing that's been done during the month by the talents of Aunt Marti's followers.  I'm not sure what I have coming in the mail from Colorado, but Aunt Marti tells me I'll be pleased!  Oh by the way my last two UFOs are already done...since the beginning of October I've been working on the projects that won't have a chance to make the 2016 UFO list =^.^=.

I'm planning to get back to my Design Wall to finish up my Mom's UFO this week.  Hope you are working on something fun!  Check out more projects through the links at Patchwork Times.  Enjoy your week.

What a fun day Kerry and I had at our own Believe! workshop.  Lots of preparation for these blocks.  First cutting the beards and then the faces.  Faces appliqued in place then beard overlapping.  B2 piece was the start of this block.
The goal of the day was to get to one finished block...and we did it!  Here's mine.  There is either a sign that says "Believe" or a star that will hang from the tip of Klaus's mitten.  That will come as the finishing touches are applied.  Katchaklaus is well on it's way!
This is the next one to stitch.  I am planning to get to this one tonight.  The rest of Sunday sewing was appliqueing the faces on section B2.
Kerry brought me four quilts today.  I'm excited to have lots of binding in the coming days.  Kidd, Krossways, Koronado, and Kristmas Keepsakes are going to make an appearance on Wednesday...come back and check them out then.  Hope you get to all your sewing desires.  Check out more projects today through Judy's Patchwork Times.

29th Annual Fur Ball Donation
San Diego Humane Society
48" x 56"
Kanine Karnivores
48" x 56"

DH dropped me off at Beverly's to get fabric for Kanine Karnivores borders, binding and back.  I know I've said it before; just love the selection of fabrics on Beverly's Blenders Wall.  There was two shades of brown in this design.  I needed four yards and had my fingers crossed there was enough of this shade...YIPPEE...

Kristmas Keepsakes
UFO #7 was selected by Marti of 52Quilts to work on this month.  It will go by fast as it is only 19" square. Kristmas Keepsakes will be my projects name.  These are the fabrics and the quilt makes up into the four gift packages you can see. Marti might remember this as it was a gift I won through her UFO Challenge.  It hasn't been started except to press the fabrics.  I'll be working on this next.

So here's the changes...

Used this week:  13 yards
Used YTD:  176.5 yards
Purchased this week:  4.5 yards
Purchased YTD:  77.75
Net Fabric Used in 2015:  98.75 yards

Tuesday I finished up Kamp Kastles.  It was fun having so many quilts to show and share with at Sunshine Quilt Guild.  I was not at the October meeting so I had a trunk show!  Six quilts ranging in sizes from Kindergarten at 17" x 22" to Koda's Keeper at 66" x 71".  Sure was wonderful hearing how everyone had missed seeing me in October.  If you go to the side bar and select 2013 Finishes you will be able to see what I shared at the meeting.  It is the last six quilts.  Which one is your favorite name?

Wednesday I worked on Kloudburst's binding during lunchtime and will continue on it tonight.  Sure hope DH has something I consider watchable on the television.  Sunshine...I'm already getting ready for December's meeting.  When I emptied my mail box after work the pattern I ordered from Fat Quarters Quilt Shop in Vista, CA arrived.  Tiny Treasures from Pieces From My Heart designed by Sandy Gervais.  It will measure 16" x 16" when finished.  The sample was just too cute not to get the pattern.  Not sure when it will be made.  I don't think this one will become a UFO!  Get your thinking caps on for a name....

Krazy Krones
Buggy Barns design If the Hat Fits is on my wall today.  Well only the first three blocks actually.  Witch four is a wild one!  She is sitting on top of five others all comfy in a large pizza box.  Julann who has instructed a number of Buggy Barn designs at local quilt shops shared this very clever way to store the cut pieces.

I'm hoping to get a few more of these "Krones" done this week.

My red strings are building up.  I have a few more to go before I start in on the 9-patches.

When I returned home from my vacation yesterday, a fun package had been delivered.  I was luck enough to win this very cute holiday quilt kit from 52Quilts.com for my participation in the September 2013 UFO Challenge Parade.  Hope you've got something fun going on in your sewing room.  More projects can be seen through the links today at Patchwork Times.
