Sunday Stash Report, July 27, 2025

Not much to look at with Autumn Love as I start my Sunday.  Somehow I'm supposed to make these three bias strips curve as in the photo.  Lori Holt says it can be done...we shall see if I can pull it off.  This is the start of the Milk Can block.

On Thursday I started working on a kit called "Call of the Wild".  Janet from Sunshine Guild gave the pattern and fabrics (11 yards) a couple of months ago.  So finally came time to get it done.  It was done and posted to the Sunshine Guild FB page to show Janet the result.  Thank goodness Jo brought to my attention an OOPS!  Can you find it?  This pattern by Janet Page has NO rotary cutting instructions.  The designer has you making cardboard templates!  Oh and one last thing.  The blocks finish at 7 1/4".  Funny how a few years change our patterns!

I have it corrected now as it should be.  The 11 yards and three extra center block panels allowed for back and binding for the original project along with another complete project; with still fabric left over.

I didn't do much more than add the checkerboard pattern on either side of the center block panels.  I left the fabric that the panel had around each one (the original project had this cut away).  The side fabrics are left from the back of the original project.  No yardage change with these two.

I am so anxious to select the right fabric to use for the binding on Kiki (Bonnie Hunter's Double Delight).  Bonnie suggests using scrappy pinks, but my stash is quite light unless I use mostly one lighter pink.  Not sure I want this against the dark border.  I do have enough of the inner border cheddar however.  I am leaning in this direction.  I am cutting into the tiny scraps and bonus triangles from Carol that will be used for the sleeve.

No change in yardage counts.  Going to be awhile before I start on a new project...Autumn Love has my attention.  Name suggestions?
