Marti of selected the next UFO to work on this month.  I have a wonderful project that will be called Kayenne!  The pattern has been in my bucket list for quite some time.
High Desert Paprika
The design is by Valorie Wells of the Stitchin' Post.  It makes a project that is 80" x 92.  The original project was the 2007 Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show raffle quilt.  This is certainly going to be a challenge to assemble as well as have it done in May!

Participant Turn In
One quarter block and two 6 1/2" squares of black/white print
Much of Sunday was spent on preparing the BOM that I am coordinating for May's Sunshine Quilt Guild's meeting.  The next photos are all about the project.
Sampling of the Pinks to be used; the blue pink shade
Dark, Medium, and Light Prints
Color Markings on Paper Pieced Template
(I did this on all templates to make it easier)
this is one quarter of the Snowballs and Stars block.  One of five 12 1/2" block designs
Kits Being Assembled
I'll be spending time sorting through my stash tonight...wonder what it holds for Kayenne?  See more projects through the links of Patchwork Times.

Kayenne is another wow, I doubt if you think it is a challenge. you pop out quilts like there was nothing to it. I will be able to see your pick of fabrics when I arrive in San Diego in a couple of weeks, lol, you will probably have it done.

You never shy away from complicated stuff, and if anyone can get Kayenne done in one month, it would be you!

Wow, Kayenne is going to be quite a quilt! Love all the pinks for your BOM, very pretty and bright.
