Koncentric Konnection
2014 UFO
Today I have nothing to change my numbers, but I do have some completely finished projects to share.  I've been binding.  Yes my "push" finger is sore now; I have never been one to use a thimble.  I have tried, but nothing feels comfortable.  First finished was Koncentric Konnection.  This one is a total beauty.  All my quilts are quilted by Kerry's Quilting.  I wish I could share the detail of the stitching on Koncentric Konnection.

I have included a close up for you too.  My DH created this name that fits it very well.  If you want to see more up close check out my website.  My latest are at the bottom of this page.
Krosscheck
2016 UFO
Krosscheck is just in time to celebrate St. Patrick's Day alongside my leprechaun decoration.  Hard for me to think that this is the first quilt I have created for this holiday.  There ended up being lots of tiny nine patches left over, so use them I did on the sleeve.  I was one short!
Next up is Konstant Konnection.  Funny how frequently "konnection" comes into names of my quilts. =^.^=  Thanks to my sister for its name.  I think this one would make a great baby quilt for a little girl.  It also doubles as a Valentines project.

2016 UFO
Last completed is Kolada.  Thanks to Joy D for its name.  This one was never a UFO.  I took a workshop to learn the technique of using the new pineapple ruler from Bloc Loc on this project from Road to California Quilt Show this past January.  I made my project to fit a particular space in my home.

I have begun putting the pieces together for Kakes in the Kribyard.  There will be some rearranging as more blocks are stitched together.  At the moment 88 blocks are planned.  Next an inner border of the light purple (constant).  Finishing with a braided border with the "knot" in the light purple and the "braid" dark rectangles.

The blocks finish at 3" which all come from bonus triangles.  I plan to use all the fabrics Sue gifted me and then if needed move to my stash.  The width of the pieces is 1 1/2".  There are plenty of that size in my strip stash.

These are the three quilts I brought home with me from Kerry.  From the bottom is Kolada, Konstant Konnection, and finally on top is Krosscheck.  I will be working at finishing Kakes in the Kribyard then move on to binding.

March is upon us this week can you believe it?  Take time with a stroll through the links at Patchwork Times.  Hope you have a good week.

Sunday Stash Report, February 26, 2017

Kourtepointe finished!  YIPPEE for me...I get to change my Stash Statistics!  I'm making headway on my 2017 UFOs even if it isn't the project I should be working on =^.^=.  I'm in the black!!!

I was sewing with Kerry yesterday.  Well to be honest I was unstitching and trimming my February UFO that I have named Kakes in the Kribyard (must get the "Ks" in some which way).  This project is a Bonnie Hunter design called Bricks in the Barnyard.  Did you know that "cakes" is another name for bricks...and..."crib" is a style of barn?  I'll be working on this project today.

Kastaway will need to wait a bit longer.  I have picked up the monofilament thread so the platform is ready for liftoff!

Join me tomorrow to see how far I get with Kakes in the Kribyard; along with goodies I brought home quilted from Kerry's (Kolada, Konstant Konnection, and Krosscheck).  I have adds to my stack of quilts to bind.  Heaven...I'm in Heaven...

Used this week:  19 yards
Used YTD: 32 yards
Purchased this week:  0 yards
Purchased YTD:  19.5 yards
Net used in 2017:  12.5 yards

Sunday Stash Report, November 27, 2016

Lavenders from Kerry arrived.  We are sharing these seemingly hard to find lavender fabrics.  These came from Memory Lane and her stash.

This is Part 1 of Kourtepointe (aka, En Provence).  I will be using 3 yards of neutrals for the project.  I have not done any counting yet, just stitching strips and blocks from my precut scraps.  Once this heap has been ironed and cut to the correct size the counting will begin.  I will need 221 4-patches.  I am also looking for help naming this French project...

Have you ever used the Bloc-Loc Strip-Set Ruler?  It works very nice keeping the units true to size.  For the squares I use the standard ruler.

Kookoo Katchu has it's binding all sewn down.  Anxious to have it done, but love the opportunity to bind.

Here is a close up of the great quilting by Kerry.  The circles follow the design from the middle of the quilt.  I'm not the best for capturing quilting, but hopefully I have managed to give you a good look.

I had a finish in Konstant Konnection early last week.  There are more 2016 UFOs to stitch between En Provence Parts.  Soon you will be seeing Kozy Korners or Krosscheck under the needle.  For now here are my stats:

Used this week: 3.75 yards
Used YTD:  201.75 yards
Purchased this week:  0 yards
Purchased YTD:  128 yards
Net used in 2016:  73.75 yards

Konstant Konnection is finished =^.^=  This is a cute Schnibbles design called Domino by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co.  The pattern and fabrics (kissing booth by basicgrey for Moda) came to me by way of a UFO Parade entry with 52Quilts in 2014.  It is my November 2016 UFO.  It is made from two charm packs and a bit of background.  Only finishes at 33" square.  So you can see why it came together so quickly.  I needed a quick project this month!

The fabric to the left will be used as the backing.  I will have to find something for the binding, but that shouldn't be a problem.  The sewing table needs to be clear this week to make way for the start of Bonnie Hunter's Fall Mystery.  Looking forward to working with new rulers and some nice fabric colors.

If you have time see all the projects on Patchwork Times.

Finally a small project was selected for November 2016 UFO.  #8 that I'm calling Konstant Konnection.  This one will finish at 33" x 33".  The pattern and fabrics were from an October 2014 UFO Parade win with Aunt Marti.  Konstant Konnection should make a cute baby quilt or table topper.

Oh my goodness already November!
