These are the fabrics for block 3, Bucket Block, of Lori Holt's Autumn Love design.  This quilt takes on a country charm and it is fun putting it together.

It starts with using the templates, tracing them onto a light weight interfacing.

With right side of the fabric to the wrong side of the interfacing, sew along the drawn lines.  Trim close to the sewn line and clip along the curves and "Vs".  Cut an "X" just big enough to turn the units inside out.  Push the seams against the interfacing side so the pieces are flat.

I will need bias pieces for this block.  So using the bias maker, green for the flower stems and blue for the basket handle are needed.
The bias maker does a great job.  Starching is a must and keep your fingers away from the hot iron!
I need bias strips for the vines on Michigan so while I was at it...
These are the two blocks done so far for Autumn Love.  I'll be working on block 3 as we head up to Idyllwild to celebrate Thanksgiving with friends who live there.   Wishing each of you a thankful day however you choose to celebrate.

Wow, looks like a lot of work going into each block. Enjoy your day.

I have never tried that technique before, but the results speak for themselves. This is a charming design, and I love the fabrics!
