Block 7 is in work for Fit to Frame..  I will be using this block to share with a couple of friends the use of Avery Labels for applique.  Becky McDaniel who was a guest speaker in May brought the idea of Avery Labels versus freezer paper.  This method has been around for awhile with Google search telling me perhaps 2013.  Anyway I love it!  The sharing of process is scheduled just before the Sunshine Quilt Guild meets on Tuesday.

Here is where I am today.  I'll have to say that it has been hard to stop working on this project now that I am so close to a finish.  I started this project in April 2017.  Only one block left after this one.

Have a great week!

That sounds interesting( the label technique). Is it online anywhere or just your technique? Dotti in CT

It is not my method. I was introduced to it as one of the applique techniques through a speaker at my quilt guild. You purchase Avery "full size" Labels, you copy your pattern onto the label, cut the pieces out similar to the freezer paper method. Needle turn hand sewing. What is so nice is that the label paper stays on until you are ready to take it off. Freezer paper doesn't come close to staying in place.

I've never heard of this method, either. Who comes up with these things?? :)

Your applique is looking so good, you have come a long way. Plus you move faster. Love it
