On my Design Wall is a project started at 2020 Road to California Quilt Show last January.  It is the year's Mystery Project, well one of two offerings by Pat Yamin.  The purchase of a kit was a must.  Our choice of red or blue.  Mystery Projects leave us completely in the dark :)

The pieces were all laser cut, a first for me.  The first time opening the container the fabrics smelled distinctively burnt.  We were promised the smell would eventually go away, which it did.  Upon first inspection too there were burnt marks on the edge of the white that were very distinctive.  These marks didn't go away, but ended up in the seams.  Both of these were a bit of a shock when we got the kits.

After finishing the Valentine's Day projects my next project to work on became this one called It's A Mystery (not too clever Pat Yamin...).  The trick for this one is to make certain to pay attention to the layout diagram as it is real easy to orient the units the wrong way.  Rows together is what remains besides finding a back that will make this project a bit more interesting...  Oh and a mysterious "K" name =^.^=   It happens to be a 2021 UFO too!

I reallly like how this turned out. It certainly was a fast make. I know you were unhappy with it, beautiful it is.

Wow--that looks like a quilt where it would be very easy to get something turned the wrong way!
Do you already have a quilt named Konundrum?

Janet - I have decided on Kwestion (question). It was a mystery project and a check of synanons revealed question as one. But! I will add Konundrum for a possibility in the future.

Ooh, Konundrum and Kwestion are good! I’d thought Kwandry (quandary). You’re so clever with these names. I’d never considered that laser cut would result in a burnt smell and edge.
