Here is Craft Show Project 2. This one has the most embellishments. Kerry will have to work around all these obstacles. The back will be the same as the borders. The binding will be the same as the sashing.
Craft Show Project 4. This one has cute bows to be worked around, but overall not too bad. I picked up some novelties in holiday bulbs that will be sewn down once quilted. I am sending this one to Kerry short on the backing of what I had hoped to use; more of the border fabric. Perhaps she has something to add to it. If all else fails I did include something that could be used, but hope it does not come to that. Every effort to use up stash went into these projects. A burgundy that matches the skaters will be the binding.
Craft Show Project 5. This one is still being stitched. I have it up on the wall just to show what it will eventually look like. The back will be the same as the borders. The binding will be the same as the sashing.
There is only one block left from this 2011 Sunshine BOM Win =^.^=. Perhaps I will figure out something to do with it yet! Craft Show Project 1 is for Kerry to finish and Craft Show Project 3 is done except for Kerry's magic. Sure hope they do well at the Craft Show that is in early December.
... where I ramble on about my love of quilting with my work in progress, share some of my day's doings, and offer some sewing tips along the way... You can find my completed projects on my web page at www.kwiltnkats.com. Comments make me smile =^.^=...
Sunday Stash Report, October 27, 2019
Another 2019 UFO finished. Thanks to Heather for the name suggestion, Kats' Kall. This one goes to Kerry next week for quilting. I have a few whiskers and facial features to hand stitch in place yet, but it will be in the mail soon. The pieces at the bottom are the gray (binding) and paisley (backing). All but two FQs from stash. I'll have to look through what 2019 UFOs are left on the list to see which one calls out loudest!
I spent time this week on cutting out the Shamrock table runner and organizing the 2011 October BOM win (Kerry won) into several small projects to be offered at an upcoming craft fair. The proceeds from our booth will go towards Sunshine Guild activities. Kerry and I are both using stash for most of the five projects. There will need to be a little purchasing, but it is for a good cause and won't impact our stash.
During the week I'll be working on cutting the pieces for yet another holiday project. This one reminds me of my friend Bonnie. It will make a nice gift for her. Still more fabrics to add in, but the candles are well handled. The darker batik will be the background.
Stats change this week with the completion of Kats' Kall =^.^=

Hope you come back and visit tomorrow.

Sunshine 2019-2020 Challenge Project #5 is done. I have to admit that my quilting is rudimentary, but the result works to hold the three (top, batting, and back) together AND it looks pretty good. I surrounded with stitch in the ditch each of the 20 blocks and then surrounded each of the four patch blocks within the blocks. The back is from my stash so that will be counted as used and the binding is left from a previous project. It will be part of the quilts turned in for the charity supported by the guild.
This project is a Reusable Straw Pouch that a guild member designed to use as a fundraiser at a craft show to be held in November. I will be making one and helping her proof her instructions along the way. I have only gotten this far. I hope to get to it in earnest this week. She scrambled to put process to paper and now I have been tardy in getting back to her. Soon I promise =^.^=
I spent all Sunday in my favorite family room chair hand stitching. Binding Challenge Project #5, securing sleeve on Kaffe Kisses, and putting labels on four different recent finishes. All caught up with hand stitching for now.
I wish you a good week and will be back with something new to read on Sunday.

Kaffe Kisses is finished. I have the sleeve and the label ready to hand sew, one of my projects for during the football game later today. This isn't the style of quilt I'd usually select, but it was fun trying something different.
Finished also is the October Sunshine BOM. Cute little churn dash block where the background was provided and the churn dash was directed to be a bright fabric.
The Cat's Meow is coming along nicely. Auditioning the framing blocks and considering the outside border fabrics. Definitely think the gray paisley is the way to go between these two options. I just cannot get the white to work with the wordy background fabric. One last option versus the gray paisley is a solid gray. I am liking the gray paisley so we shall see. Any ideas for a name for this project? Keeping with the "Ks" =^.^=
I did have a 2-3/4 add this week. It will be enough for a backing one day in the future.

I have been working away on a few projects. This is Cat 3 of my 2019 UFO The Cat's Meow. The units are just placed about where they would be, but final placement on the background has not been determined.
This is Cat 4. The paper is a fusible called Barely There that I have come to like a bunch. The units are on the wrong side of the fabric for now. I will be cutting the parts of this cat during the week.
Last Friday I received Kaffe Kisses in the mail from Kerry. During yesterday's football games and later tonight's football game there will be some binding. I am sharing some of the quilting that Kerry used. Several are from patterns made for the double wedding ring design. I am very pleased with the custom work Kerry accomplished. When I get the binding done the project will be shared with you. The binding is the same green as in the blocks.
2019 - 2020 Sunshine Challenge #5 top is done. The pattern (Framed 4-Patch) and kit was prepared by Tonya, Sunshine's Cuddle Quilt Coordinator. I will be getting some appropriate kid themed backs from Tonya for the remaining six projects, but this purple will work for now for #5. The pink thread will be used for the quilting that I will be doing.
Have a terrific week ahead.

Here is where some of the new purchases were used. Two FQs were needed to get the lower part of the face and the stripes on Cat 2's back. Yes this is how the stash builds =^.^=
The other two FQs are for the background of a table runner for my Mom. It is a St. Patrick's theme. These four FQs were purchased from Paradise Sewing in Poway, CA.
This past Tuesday was the monthly Sunshine Guild meeting. Because I had my name badge on an entry into the drawing got me this cute door prize.
I am participating in a UFO Challenge for the membership year. Seven UFOs were identified with one being due at each meeting or a $1 penalty must be paid. My UFOs are all cuddle quilts from kits Tonya the coordinator built. I will be working on this one today. It is #5. All UFOs must be completely finished. My quilting skills will be challenged since usually Kerry does all my quilting. There just won't be time to get them to her and back to me.
Let me close with my stats for this week. I hope your already middle of October week is everything you want it to be.

I started with these fabrics for four cats. DH mentioned brightly colored cats...well I think these fabrics will make that happen.
This is the first cat. It takes six different fabrics. Eyes and whiskers will be added in at the end. There is a piece that gets the words "Meow Meow Meow" below the feet of the cat. I will be experimenting with my sewing machine again. It does lettering quite nicely. Each block will finish 10" square. I haven't yet decide on the sashing. I have quite a stash for finding something that will work.
Happy Birthday Karen! I hope your day is as terrific as you =^.^=
Sunday Stash Report, October 6, 2019
The football games of today had me hand stitching "Joy". It is a mug rug from a kit that I picked up somewhere along the line. I used thermal batting so it should hold the heat off any surfaces. DH says its too nice to put his mug on..."aren't I afraid it will get stained?"
During the week Kerry sent me back Koach. It was also finished during the day. Just in time for Halloween. The background reminds me of a stormy evening.
The last Krazy Kristmas Konifer project was finished. All three that were made are on their way to Kerry for quilting. She should receive them on Tuesday.
Nothing changes the numbers this week, but I do plan a stop at Paradise Sewing tomorrow on my way home. There are a couple of bright greens I'd like to find to work with my next project The Cat's Meow! Wait until you see these kitties =^.^=
