Today I will be working on Kloudburst.  Assembly of Block A.  I have the HSTs made and trimmed.  Now comes the time to lay out each block to make sure I have the fabrics distributed well.  This is the second time consuming part of scrap quilt projects.  The first by far being the selection of fabrics from ones stash.

I also have a list of other things to get done between today and tomorrow:

1)  Ready my entries for the 2013 San Diego Quilt Show.  Entry Deadline is July 1 which is quickly approaching.  I am planning at least three this year perhaps four.

2 and 3)  Assemble Sunshine Quilt Guilds BOM.  Assemble an auction item for Sunshine Quilt Guilds June Auction.  Deadline is Monday evening for me to have it by Tuesday's meeting.

4)  Write up directions for an Ice Cream quilt.  Send to Mom.

There is a plea out to make quilts for "Scoops of Love" Oklahoma Comfort Quilt Project.  Sue Crate from the Northern Lights Quilt Guild in Lebanon, NH has asked for small, simple ice cream themed comfort quilts for the children entering the 1st / 2nd grades in Moore, OK.  She has a teacher friend in Moore who inspired this effort.  The quilts size 36" to 48" maximum either square or rectangle.  Simple bright and fun colors that are ice cream themed pieced, appliqued or ice cream fabric.  The want them by August 7.  If you can help send them to:

Comfort Quilts c/o Sheila Cockerill
6009 SE 86th Street
Oklahoma City, OK  73135

Share this project with others so they can be assured to get enough quilts for the kids.  If you want further information you can contact Sue Crate at 802-299-1586.

5)  Gather fabrics for the San Diego Humane Society's Fur Ball.

Well that's enough to keep me busy for awhile.  Enjoy your Saturday!

You have so many worthwhile things going on here, Sandi.
I like the ice cream block. Very clever.
