Sunday Stash Report, January 24, 2016

This week's purchases will be one of the largest this year I think.  I ended up buying most of the fabrics for my 2016 Road to California Quilt Show workshop.  The workshop was lead by Some Kind of Wonderful Jenny Pedigo.  Jenny took us through the Chic Kisses pattern that uses the Quick Curve Ruler.  A friend lent me her QCR but I quickly determined that this was a ruler I needed for myself.  I even went to their booth after the workshop and purchased the Mini QCR as well.
Purchases at Rosie's Calico Cupboard
I was able to get going bright and early on Friday morning with the Rosie's fabrics and some others from my stash, but decided after learning more about the project that I wanted more Kaffee Fassett fabrics and matching solids.  Also having a couple more neutral gray prints would be good for the setting curve units.  My project will be a bit more scrappy than the planned project.  So off to the vendors during lunch break!
Purchases at 2016 RD2CA Quilt Show Day 1
The fabrics on the right fit nicely in my 2016 RD2CA Quilt Show Workshop reusable bag.  You must know this bag is incentive from the organizers to BUY!  I've pretty much ruled out the second fabric from the top, but the others will fit real well in my Kaffe Kisses quilt.  The two rulers and patterns are a result of the workshop.  The curves sew in very nicely using them.  Aren't the luggage tags just too cute and of course my cat figurines?
Purchases at 2016 RD2CA Quilt Show Day 2
After looking at the fabrics all together for Kaffe Kisses it became clear that even another piece of neutral gray print would be good along with another solid and matching prints for two more blocks variations.  This will give me nine blocks for my project instead of 16 (a would be 92" x 92" design...wow).  The triangles-on-a-roll 2" finished HSTs are for the Union Blues (my Konstitution) and the real cute little Bow Tie pattern will work well using up scraps.

Kerry and I always have a great time leaving town to do our favorite thing for a few days.  We help each other spend our money =^.^=!  So here are my crazy numbers for this stash report.  Looks like I better get to sewing and out of the negative.  Linking up with Patchwork Times.

That's not too bad for being at a show, and you will certainly have a finish soon to bring you back into the black! I've made one top with my QCR and really enjoyed it - look forward to seeing yours!

WOW, it looks like you really had fun. Lots of good stuff in that bag. Can't wait to see what you do with the QCR. As much as you sew, I know it won't be long before you will be in the black again.

Those fabrics all look mighty colourful, and how hard it would have been to come out with an empty bag!!!

You picked up a good amount of items at the show. It won't be long and your numbers will change to positive. I Like your little extra goodies. Glad that you and Kerry were able to share a weekend together with what you both love to do.
