I did put all the blocks together from the HSTs made from the first batch.  Somewhere along the process I lost a HST so more had to be made to continue.

This is the second batch ready to be cut up.  I haven't had much time to work on Katerskill this past week.  Certainly a time when there is all kinds of things to do besides sew.  I hope to get back to this tomorrow.
Did you get started on Bonnie Hunter's Winter Mystery?  I will be pulling and saving the different parts of this one.  I want to concentrate on my UFOs right now.  I still have UFOs 2022 and 2023 yet to complete.  I will be making my project in Bonnie's colors.  My batiks are calling out to be used.  Plan to start with them then hit the rest of my stash.

Have a great last week of November...can you believe it?

Sunday Stash Report, November 26, 2023

I finished sewing up these two blocks that are the November BOM.  I really like how they turned out.  I'll definitely put my name in the drawing to be the winner at Sunshine December Meeting.  Thanks Pam for such a fun block.

I purchased this fabric for the binding of my Christmas truck tree skirt.  I will be cutting on the bias to give it the perfect look.

Just started a new cross stitch project.  This is the first finish of 12 9" blocks.  The project is all ducks doing fun things.  The next block is a dancing duck.

Not much yet to share on Katerskill (Blue & White Delight by American Patchwork & Quilting).  This is a re-create of a Vintage Indigo project.  I used one of the three suggested indigo blue fabrics.  All the units are cut and ready to assemble.  This should go quick...the quilting design will probably take longer :)

This shows the layout...easy peasy!
Kauldron is completely done.  A long time overdue.  This is a 2022 UFO that I am very happy to have finished for next Halloween.
This Sunshine BOM for November is coordinated by Pam.  It is called Turkey Track.  Pam gave each of us a FQ that participants were to match up with either a light or a dark.  I chose a dark (brown) to go with the gold (from Pam).  This may be a BOM I want to win!
I'll close with Kassy and Kosmo in their favorite places before the laundry gets sorted for washing.  Kassy comes running when the laundry basket comes out!

Enjoy your week =^.^=

Sunday Stash Report, November 19, 2023

Month 8 of the Lucky Stars was taken to stitch at the meeting since no one wanted to volunteer to take it on.  It was the last of 12 months that needed someone to assemble.  I like foundation piecing and what's not to like about making a star.  The project is the next Sunshine Opportunity Quilt for the membership year 2024 - 2025.

I got Kasper (Boo! project) finished.  Since the 2 1/2" squares were all randomly stitched together a few needed to be changed out for another.  With all the variety one would not think two same fabric units would end up right next to one another.  I had at least three that needed to be changed out.  I am happy with the result =^.^=  The black print used in the ghosts eyes will be used for the binding.  Before next Halloween I will have three new projects to display.  I have another three Halloween projects that are waiting for me.  Oh how I love sewing for Halloween.

I thought for certain this all too cute acorn fabric would be a perfect addition as a background for the Kork, my Acorn Soup project, that is waiting its turn under the needle.  As it turns out all the fabrics are in brown, rust, tan, orange, and cream colors; green acorns just won't work.  I only purchased a yard, but it just may work for the back since the completed project is just 33" by 39".  (Good idea Mom!)

Don't spend all your time in the kitchen this week!

This doesn't look like much, but it is about to!  This is Month 9 of the project Lucky Stars.  It will become nine blocks of three different designs.  The project is the next Sunshine Opportunity Quilt for the membership year 2024 - 2025 (I hope I have this right =^.^=)  Of course I will be sharing when there is something more to see from my efforts.

Kauldron came back to me from Kerry.  I just love the quilting design called Tangled for this project.  Looks like wind whipping across the quilt.  I have the sleeve and binding in place.  This will be the next to hand sew.

I am working towards having the Lucky Stars Month 9 finished for Tuesday's November Sunshine Quilt Guild meeting.  Guess you know then what I will be doing tonight!

Enjoy your week.

My Little Red Truck tree skirt whipped up pretty fast.  The slit and hole to get it around the tree will be done after quilting.  I have eight black circles to applique in place yet for the tires.  The pattern called for buttons as the tires.  On discussion with Kerry it seemed a good idea to just applique them.  So while I watch the game today that will happen.  I hope to have this in the mail to Kerry tomorrow morning.

I picked this fabric up for the binding and the back, but have second thoughts on it.  My trucks aren't as red as this fabric and then I started thinking of the red bleeding.  So I have changed my mind on using this fabric.  Instead a back using the white in the skirt and another look for a check that is a little less bright red for a binding.

So for this week I'm still going to claim the yardage for this project even though there was a swap and a purchase for the binding yet to come.

Design Wall Monday, November 6, 2023

I managed to get three more of the connector block assembled.  Star of Hope has made it to the Design Wall.  You can see there are a lot of empty spots between all of the stars.  This will be on my Design Wall until I can start and finish the Little Red Truck Christmas tree skirt.
This is a photo of the skirt.  It doesn't finish as large as hoped so the plan is to add a 2 1/2" piece to the bottom of each section.  A decision will be made on whether or not it will be more of the same background or a white fabric that has Christmas words in red and green across the fabric in straight lines.  For now though the time to find fabrics in my stash and cut the pieces begins.

I will need to find something for the binding and the back.  I don't have anything that will work like I want.  The truck and tree blocks are paper pieced.  Units are all cut and it is now time to sew =^.^=  That time is of course something I am finding quite difficult to find!

Sunday Stash Report, November 5, 2023

Here's the first of 23 more stars for the Star of Hope project.  It does take some time to assemble just one!

No changes this week to stash.  I'm trying to get in a Christmas tree skirt project so it is looking right now that Star of Hope will take a back seat.  I have also been working on Katerskill that will also take a back seat.  Oh my so much I want to do and so little time!
