Strings are what I want to work with next...  Punkin' Patch designed by Bonnie Hunter is just the right answer.  From my 2018 UFO List, this one is #7.  Mom gifted me grays and oranges earlier this year.  I'll be using that fabric and a bunch of my own to put this one together.  Foundation pieces have been copied and the first two of 49 string pumpkin units have been sewn.  Kerry is also making this project so there will be some sharing of fabrics likely.  I will be taking this on my trip...that leaves tomorrow!

Looking forward to spending time with my family for ten days.  Scott (BIL) picks me up close to midnight.  I will be spending the night at their home.  Breakfast with long time friend Teri the next day.  Mom and Dad pick me up around 11am.  It will be a busy couple of days.  Karen will be joining us on either Friday or Saturday for the weekend.  This time of year is hard for her since she works with the school system and its the first days of the school year.

The four of us travel to the Richmond area for a visit with Tiffany (niece) and Matt.  It will be the first time my parents and I see their new home.  Well got to go and pack =^.^=.  Hope you have a great week.

Sunday Stash Report, August 26, 2018

This is the one of the final table runners of Mom's to finish.  I had it done Friday while sitting in the waiting room for a DH procedure.  I thought it funny that I was the only one not staring at a cell phone 🤣

This is the gift quilt.  I have it ready to load up in my suitcase for binding while I'm in Maryland.  There is a table runner that will go with me as a carry on project.  I also have loaded up an audio book and if these two don't fill my cross country, one stop, flight there is always my work lap top...no probably not this!

Nothing to change my stash, but I have a new project that has had me with a little bit of Violet's help, rummaging through my 1.5" and 2" strip containers.  I'll have that to share on Monday. =^.^=

This one just finished.  Steady progress on all Mom's table runners and charity quilts now that Janet's are done.

Over the weekend I finished this charity quilt.  I'm sharing both halves so you can see all the parts of this once panel print.  The black with white polka dot and the red binding set off the project nicely.  Wait until Mom shows the whole project on her blog.  The quilting done by Kerry is perfect!
These are two of the three left to bind.  The other one is a big one that will be a gift...no sharing yet.
This one is next to be finished.  There are some tricky corners to maneuver.
Hope your week is terrific.  Just four work days this week YIPPEE!

More of the binding projects are complete.  Bonnie helped me with the three on the right.  These three are my Mom's projects.  The two on the left are Janet's projects.  I have the ones that I helped her with finished.  I will be ready for September 10th with the three quilts needed for that date.
I also have Violet Anne's quilt complete.  It really came out cute.  I'm sure her grandson will adore it.  There are a few more to bind yet that are my Mom's.  Sue helped me out with one of them that I hope to finish tonight yet.

No new projects started until all this binding gets done!  Stash report today is unchanged from last week.

I'll leave you with a photo of Kassy.  She was being very photogenic this morning.  Perched on the top of the cat tower.  Love my girl! 💞

I have been working on the binding of this beauty all week.  Finished the last stitches on the sleeve just a bit ago.  Soon I will make time to put my quilt rack up and give you a better glimpse of the 2018-2019 Sunshine Quilt Guild's Opportunity Quilt.  Tickets are being printed and should be available to everyone soon.  The goal is to have it available for those who want to take a chance at winning it during the San Diego Quilt Show.  The quilt is 97" x 97" a good queen size custom all work done my members of the guild from piecing and applique to the custom quilting.

I am also helping out Janet with some binding projects.  The one pictured above is the current one being stitched.  What you see is the back and the pieced sleeve.  I'll wait to hear from Janet if she wants me to share any of her projects before I do.

These are the ones yet to bind.  Plus my friend Bonnie has three more that she hopes to finish before a package is mailed to my Mom's home later this month.

Sharing Kontingency again.  I'm so happy to have all 2017 UFOs done!  This design s one by Lisa W. Norton and Lora W. Zmak called Double Arrow.

For yardage used I am going to guess it at about half the size of the Throw yardage.  It is about that.  Today I spent all my sewing time preparing binding.  I'll share all of what I have to bind tomorrow.

The setting pieces are cut and sitting next to the finished blocks.  The pattern called for setting triangles and corners to match the star backgrounds (white), but this deep blue batik called out to me instead.  Well really the fact that I bought the last of this fabric (white) and only have about 3" WOF along with some scraps left made me think of alternatives!  I think this works for Kontingency.  Hope to have it done for Kerry when we see each other for sewing on Saturday.

A special Birthday shout out to Heaven today.  My brother Steve would have celebrated his 59th this year.  Sure miss him and the happiness he brought to us.👼
