Sunday Stash Report, September 25, 2016

I have been doing a bit of sewing this week.  There is a finish to share, a possibility for a bimonthly opportunity quilt, and Kloggs.

The finish is a promised Halloween quilt for the Buh Boys.  My nephew's sons, yep there last name is Buh that is pronounced Boo, will get this quilt that I personalized in part to fill up some of the panel's candy corn background.  The two boys are young with the oldest just starting first grade this year.  They shared a quilt I sent them last year; now they will be able to have one of their own.  Kerry will be quilting it this week with the pattern Ghostly in white thread.

I'll have the binding ready when Kerry is done.  The quilting should give it an eerie feel as the ghosts fly around on all the different colors.  I just love using stripes on the diagonal for bindings.

Next up is a possibility for Sunshine's November/December Bimonthly Opportunity Quilt.  Kerry and I are using up our SWAP projects in this quilt if we decide to go forward.  It is a Bonnie Hunter design called Charlotte's Basket from her String Fling book.

Kloggs is the big project I am spending my time on.  While I assemble the blocks for the second border.  The project has three borders with the last one being dark blacks.  As I gaze at my design wall I wonder about the fabric choice for the inner border.  Dark blacks are suggestion from pattern that I will probably stick with.

So for my fabric stats this week a reduction in my stash =^.^=

Used this week:  3.5 yards
Used YTD:  149.75 yards
Purchased this week:  0 yards
Purchased YTD:  100.5 yards
Net used in 2016:  49 yards

You are working on some great quilts this week. I especially love the big one on your design wall. That is going to be fabulous. I like the Bonnie Hunter baskets too. That will use up lots of neutral scraps for sure.
