2015 UFOs
It looks like a Bonnie Hunter year is in store for me. Only four of my UFOs have starts. I am one of the rare quilters that start and finish a project before moving on to the next. Well, most of the time! Thank you to my circle of followers, friends, and family that help me come up with all the "K" names for each of my projects. Any suggestions for those yet to be named are greatly appreciated.

#1 Kadabra. Bonnie Hunter's 2014 Winter Mystery Grand Illusion. The first of 8 Clues was released on Black Friday, November 28, 2014. I haven't missed this annual gift from Bonnie Hunter since I started in 2008. The pattern will be FREE on her website until sometime in the Spring of 2015.

January - Done |
#2 Kool Krystals. Bonnie Hunter's Scrap Crystals from her book More Adventures with Leaders and Enders. I took a workshop through Sunshine Quilt Guild in November 2014 that was held at Memory Lane in Poway, CA. I used all the neutral/blue HSTs from a Swap I coordinated that ended in June 2013 where 19 participated.

November - Done |
#3 Komatose. Bonnie Hunter's Lazy Sunday. Was a Mystery by Quiltmaker in a series of four issues that started with the March/April 2013 issue then later released in her More Adventures With Leaders and Enders book. I'll be using the scraps from Kamikaze.

March - Done |
#4 Kabuki. Bonnie Hunter's Dancing Nine Patch! available as a FREE pattern on her website www.quiltville.com. It's a fun design that will use up a bunch of my 2" scraps.

December - Done |
#5 Kamikaze. Bonnie Hunter's Midnight Flight from her book More Adventures with Leaders and Enders. Unit 1 and Unit 2 were made through a Swap I coordinated that ended in November 2014 where 14 quilters participated. I ended up with lots of bonus triangles in neutral/blue and neutral/purple. I'm sure there will be another quilt coming from these HSTs some day in the future. "Kamikaze" was inspired from the blog commenter Swooze.

#6 Korners. Bonnie Hunter's Winston Ways from her book More Adventures with Leaders and Enders. I took a workshop through Sunshine Quilt Guild in November 2014 that was held at Memory Lane.

#7 Kristmas Keepsakes. Under the Tree by Snap Sak Small Quilt. I won this for finishing September 2013 UFO challenge with Aunt Marti. I've had this cute little pattern for a while now and it is one that hopefully will be called in one of my busier months this year. My sister Karen coined this project!

October - Done |
#8 Krystal Kreek. Bonnie Hunter's Lady of Lake Erie. Was published by Quiltmaker Magazine in the May/June 2011 issue. This design looks like it will be perfect to use the bonus triangles from Kamikaze.

April - Done |
#9 Kurosity. Checkered Past by Barbara Brackman. I'm hoping to make it from reproduction fabrics that are few and far between in my stash...but will give me reason to raid Kerry's stash. Debra Broyles alerted me to this design available FREE online.

June - Done |
#10 Krossways. Pinwheel Pizzazz by Leanna Spanner in Quilter's World Winter 2013. Love the way the purple design weaves around in a cobblestone pattern. I came across this pattern in Maryland during a visit to my parents' home.

#11 Koronado and Kidd. This is a Quilts of Valor Kit #4652. The pattern is actually two quilt designs in one. The second quilt is made from the scraps of the first project. Country Threads had this displayed when Jo's Country Junction was doing a blog tour of their Iowa shop. I spotted it in their lovely shop through the posted photos and a call was made to purchase the kit. Lucky me they still had one left. These two quilts are named after currently commissioned USS Navy Ships; both with home port San Diego, CA.

#12 Kringle's Kargo. Tiny Treasures #582 Moda Candy Pattern designed by Sandy Gervais. Another tiny pattern I have had for a while. Another UFO for a busy month! "Kringle's Kargo" was inspired from the blog commenter Janet O.
Kurry (Briar Patch by Judy Neimeyer) is still in the cupboard. I am totally inspired to finish this 2011 UFO project. Kartwheels that was finished in 2013 came in 2nd place in the category Traditional Wall Pieced at the 2014 Road to California Quilters' Showcase. Krossfire that was finished in 2014 was entered there but didn't make the cut. Kookaburra did though so I will have an entry at the 2015 Road to California Quilters' Showcase. Perhaps something special will come from Kurry. All 2014 UFOs done! There are some large projects ahead for me in 2015. Come back from time to time to see this page's updates from pattern sketches to finished project.

Looks like a lot of quilting will be coming in from your home. You will be doing some beautiful work. You need to open a quilt store for interested people to purchase. They are all so lovely
Sandi - girl you are a true inspiration. You are diversified in your upcoming projects and I know you will complete them all - and then some. hehehehehhe I hope to get all of mine UFO's completed so they can be viewed in Aunt Marti's parade monthly. I did print out my list and have it tacked to the wall so I won't lose track of where I am. I wish you all the best - you are a very good friend - Happy New Year. Take care.
