Sunday Stash Report, November 30, 2025

Say hello to Month 5 of Home for the Holly Days.  I will be cutting Month 6 once Lupine & Laughter is cut.

My Lupine & Laughter Part 1 complete.

This is the first of three fabrics I located at Suzie Q Quilts for my Winterberry project.

Shabby Fabrics had the other two fabrics to complete the requirement.  The rest of the fabrics will come from my stash.  I have the first block cut out except the fabric on the bottom.  I am anxious to see how this project turns out.  It uses 1.5" pieces which I have an abundance of.

Trying to get into the Christmas mood!  Yes it is dogs, but the similar cat puzzle was already completed a few weeks ago.  I think the cat puzzle was harder =^.^=

For stash counts this last day of November...

Wednesday Workings, November 26, 2025

Krowkissed is nearly complete.  There are buttons too numerous to count that are to embleish this project further.  For now Krowkissed is displayed in my hallway.  Buttons will have to wait!

Home for the Holly Days Month 5 is coming together.  There are a few more of the units to go.

These are the next four.  I chain piece these together that's why they are lined up like this.

These pieces are yet to be trimmed up.  There was a lot of cutting and sewing with Month 5.

Next up after Month 5 is the first week of Lupine & Laughter.  Bonnie Hunter's Winter Mystery for 2025/2026.  I have the pieces all cut out and at the ready as time allows.  Wishing you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I have sweet potatoes baking in preparation for a pie that I will be making.  There is cinnamon in the pie ingredients so I am expecting our home to smell heavenily =^.^=

Finished all but the label!  Kluster comes from the 2025 Liberty Box.  The pattern is called Gleaming by Fat Quarter Shop.  This is one of my 2025 UFOs.

I didn't get in any sewing today.  I did cut and cut and cut =^.^=  There was lots of digging through stash to get the different four of these hour glass units.  24 sets of matching four.  Somewhere along the way I was gifted a Honey Bun roll.  I am pretty certain it came from my mom.  Anyway it had lots of pink variations in the strips.  It was perfect to capture the carnation pink.  Neutrals and ice blues were not a problem either for now.  There is still more yardage if the need for the pink or blue comes back into play.

Home for the Holly Days Month 5 waits me having the time to sit down to my featherweight.  I am ahead of the schedule so no big deal.

Happy Monday.

Sunday Stash Report, November 23, 2025

Let me start with the first stitching since Wednesday's post.  This is the last of the items for the donation for Sunshine Quilt Guild's Summers Past Farms event in early December.  These microwave popcorn bags make a total of 12 donated.  Of course this adds to what has also been donated; four Christmas table runners and four small Halloween wall hangings.

Except for shuffleing these units around Month 5 of Home for the Holly Days has not been stitched.  I do hope to get to these today or sometime early this week.  I am ahead by a month due to all the extra fabric that is being sent every month.

Friday I spent the morning at Rosie's auditioning scraps that will be used to make Winterberry.  I decided I wanted to have three of the fabrics in the Make it Merry collection.  All three were ordered from two different vendors.  The cut units are the first of the blocks all cut to size and waiting for the shippments to arrive.

Pam brought all the puppy blocks that will go into the possible donation to Raddys Childrens Hospital Canine Therapy Program.  Two of the light background kits have yet to be returned (made or not).  These 20 should make for a good size quilt.  (Arrangement of blocks yet to be finalized.)

And of course...I have started on Part One of the Winter Mystery, Lupine & Laughter, by Bonnie Hunter.  I have enjoyed working with these lighter shades of fabric.  I will be making the full project this year as done last year.  I have the fabric so why not?  There will be some repeating of fabrics because I won't be purchasing anything new unless it becomes a must =^.^=

Nothing really tips the stash count this week.  Head back this way tomorrow to see the finish of  Kluster.  A 2025 UFO from this year's Liberty Box.

Wednesday Workings, November 19, 2025

This is Installment 2, the first two of four blocks for Scatter Garden.  Again this is the same block design for the next two blocks, but with different fabrics.

Here are all four.  This installment has one also making sashing.  There are two different sashing designs.

Sashing A is on the left and B is on the right.  The shorter row are the units that will stitch the first two installments together along with the two different sashings.  Things are starting to take shape =^.^=

I also pulled enough fabric for Month 5 of Home for the Holly Days.  I'll be preparing the units that need vertical lines next.  I still have lots of fabric to try cutting Month 6 out once Month 5 is stitched.

That's it for this Wednesday.

This is Installment 3, the first two blocks with the cheddar fabric.  Each installment so far has one making four blocks; all with the same design using a slightly different fabric color.

Here I am working on the two cheddar blocks on my featherweight.  I have my machine set up on the dining room table.  I do like the way this machine stitches.  It does seem only to like Coats & Clarks 100% cotton thread.  I ordered some from Michael's in a natural color, two spools in fact.

Here is the finished Installment 3.  The cheddar was switched out for a dark cranberry color for the third and fourth blocks (on the right).

I need to get Installment 2 done since I inadvertantly went out of order.  That is what is up for today's stitching.

Sunday Stash Report, November 16, 2025

Kreepy Kats, Krows, and Klaws is finished.  This one has a new to me flange with the binding.  There is also a matching flange around the larger panel.  It looks sharp =^.^=  Another to add to my brimming to the top Halloween projects.

There were several leftover panel pieces that I have made into small wall hangings by adding a hanger or used as mug rugs.  Each has a sleeve on the back allowing for either option.

The top photo is two on one hanger (note the back with the sleeve).  The bottom is one on a smaller hanger.  Not sure how to offer the wall hangings to Sunshine Guild for the Summers Past Farms event.  Will be thinking on this...  Do I offer them as a wall hanging/mug rug and let the customer purchase their own hanger...  I guess I am sort of liking them with the hanger; of course the cost would need to be adjusted to accommodate the cost.

I continue to make progress on the Fancy Feathers table runner.  All birds have head feathers.  A little floss stitching on a couple of feathers then the quilting.

No change this week in my Stash Stats.  **Update** forgot to include 2025 Jolly Box Finishing Kit fabrics received on Wednesday.

Wednesday Workings, November 12, 2025

I have picked up the Fancy Feathers Table Runner project once again.  I had a heck of a time making the center unit fit correctly.  When I did figure out what was needed for my project, the size was reduced.  It finished much longer than what I wanted.  You can see the first bird on the left has a fancy head piece.  All the other birds will have similar adornments.

A little closer look of the head piece.  This is just the first of the four that uses Steam-a-Seam Lite.  I plan to add some embrodery as the design shows.  I will also use a small zigzag on the pieces to secure them better.

White button with black rim

Large sparkly turquoise button

Small sparkly turquoise button

Dark blue button

So which button do you like best?  I am leaning towards either the white button with the black rim or the large sparkly turquoise button.  The white/black button really picks up the white/black stripe, but the large sparkly turquoise button probably needs a larger orange circle under it.  (The black eyes are the same on each bird.)  So chime in...

The Finishing Kit for the 2025 Jolly Box pattern Mistletoe Moments arrived.  Red/border, white print/background, and green plaid/binding.  I be counting this as an add to my Stash Report on Sunday.

Have a wonderful rest of your week =^.^=

Design Wall Monday, November 10, 2025

Let me start off with two puppies made for the quilt that might go to Rady Children's Hospital Canine Therapy Program.  These were the last two background kits Pam put together for it.  Pam will put the quilt into a top.  Not sure who will do the quilting.  These two will go to Pam likely Thursday.

Month Four of Home for the Holly Days completed.  I will be cutting out the next month and perhaps with all the leftovers, of which there is plenty, have it made up before the next month of fabrics arrives.  There seems to be an abundance of fabrics that are part of this BOM project.

I hope to start the sewing on Scatter Garden yet this week.  I have two installments cut and ready to assemble.

Hope all is good in your home.  Fall is here in San Diego.  We are anticipating rain later today.

Sunday Stash Report, November 9, 2025

The finished table runners for Sunshine's booth at Summers Past Farms.  I made four with two of them being identical centers (green on right in the photo).

This is what one looks like (the one on the left in the first photo).  I also have a few microwave popcorn bags to donate as well.  This will be it from me for the event.  I will be sending to Lorna since I will be missing the Sunshine November Meeting.  Sorry to miss out on Pam's "Not Kim Diehl Trunk Show"

The 2025 Jolly Box arrived yesterday.  It came with Mistletoe Moments Mistletoe & Holly Fat Quarter Bundle (12 pieces).  I will be counting this as an add this week.  The pattern is cute.  I ordered the Finishing Kit today.

It is a bit up and down with the stash.  The Used YTD looks great at more than double the Purchased YTD.

Wednesday Workings, November 5, 2025

I am busy cutting Installment Two of Scatter Garden.  I went out of order by mistake and cut Installment Three before Two.  Oh well, both needed to be cut right?

I am also hand stitching the table runners that will be donated to Sunshine Quilt Guild for the Craft Fair at Summers Past Farms, December 6 and December 7.  I was able to get to the Post Office yesterday and the table runner for ALA #221 is on its way to Maryland.

Happy Wednesday!

Design Wall Monday, November 3, 2025

I have sewn a few of the months on this project and have cut out another month.  So much fabric comes with the kit...  There is enough to keep going.  I have been notified that the next month is being shipped now.

I have one month sewn and one just cut out.  I plan on cutting another month before a chance presents itself to sew unintrupted.

Trying to keep busy and still be around my hubby.  Binding table runners and cross stitching away =^.^=

Happy Monday!

Sunday Stash Report, November 2, 2025

As yet unnamed, Pumpkin Sitting is done.  I like the addition of the cat.  This pattern comes from the 2025 Spooky Box, Fat Quarter Shop.  Soon I hope to get this one in the mail to Kerry.

Still working on the table runners that will be donated to two causes.  One of them will soon ship to Maryland for the ALA Christmas Raffle.  The rest will go to Summers Past Farm for the booth that Sunshine Quilters will have on December 6 and 7.

So a bit of a change this week.
